Coop Himmelb(l)au architectural bureau

In 1968, Wolf D. Prix founded the Coop Himmelb(l)auarchitectural bureau in Vienna together with Helmut Swiczinsky and Michael Holzer. Their trademark is deconstructivism, that can be sensed in the architects’ numerous projects (e.g. see the UFA Crystal Palace).

The bureau already had great success on both national and international level. They have won, among others, the “Deutscher Architekturpreis” in 1999, as well as the “Großer Österreichischer Staatspreis (Great Austrian National Award), as well in 1999.
